Gene Chandler's Nothing Can Stop Me was one of the songs that had been extremely popular in the 1960's and have shaped the world of music. It's one of Chandler's greatest songs and this song was always used to introduce him. This song exhibits Chandler's usual powerful and moving voice. This is a song that will fill you up with power and keep you going.

If I was to describe the song in one word, I would say, "uplifting". If you are in a state of depression caused from suppression and if you need someone to remind you to think positive, then i would say that, this is the song for you. This song is absolutely delightful and deserves to become an anthem. This song makes a statement about a man who had been put down and hurt and now decided not to take it anymore. He decides to move forward.

Gene Chandler means every word of the song. A personal message and a few bad memories accompany this Northern Soul favorite. This song had been sung from the bottom of the heart.

Iggy Pop - The Passenger

This song featured in the album, Lust for Life (1977). This song represents the spirit of the punks. Youth is all about hanging out and staying cool. This song reminds me of my youth.

The striking feature of this song is that, it has only four chords playing at the background, but it mixes pretty well with the song. But be careful, this song inspired me to break quite a few rules and I ended up getting into trouble. This is the greatest Iggy pop song ever.

If you want to break free, feel the energy, forget your brain and pay your heart some attention, this song is definitely for you.

Edwin Starr - 25 Miles

This song was one of the biggest hits in the year 1969. This song topped both pop and R&B charts.

"feet are hurting mighty bad."

This song is about a man's journey to see his lady back home. He goes walking, avoiding the bus and the miles keep shrinking. To me, this song was a very foxy one! It has got some conga at the background (smooth). Many people call it a song of Northern Soul standard, but to me it is a Motown up-tempo song.

Now, a small suggestion: turn the volume up to enjoy the song. It's a floor shaker.

Talking Heads - Life During Wartime

Talking Heads is one of the best new wave bands I have listened to. Their influence on punk rock had been tremendous. "Life during wartime" talks about civil insurrection in the USA. This song was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. In 1979, this song was viewed as a post-punk paranoid nightmare which has become the reality post 9/11. This song always manages to get me thrilled.

Don Thomas - Come on Train

This song is extremely addictive and you can never get tired of listening to it.
