Beaver, WV 25813
United States of America
The park has quite a few hiking and biking trails for outdoor enthusiasts. You can usually see some deer while hiking or biking throughout the park. Little Beaver State Park also has picnic areas and children's playground to accommodate any family or group outing. Some of the biking trails you'll need to exercise extreme caution to avoid an accident because many trails have rocks and old trees spread throughout the trails and steep slopes.
The park features a small dam that provides a beautiful view of West Virginia nature. Many anglers fish around this area of the park because most trout stay within this water due to the cold nature of the water around the dam.
Little Beaver is located close to Grandview State Park which offers a vast array of recreational activities. You can read about the activities on Grandview State Park here
Little Beaver State Park is operated by the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources who take great care in keeping the park safe and clean.
Other opportunities around the area include golfing at Glade Springs Resort which is located about 10-15 minutes from Little Beaver. A golf course very close to Little Beaver State Park is called Beaver Creek Golf Course which is about 5 minutes from the park. The course is an 18-hole course that has some challenging holes, but overall the course is very tight and you must pay attention to other golfers because you may get hit by a ball.
The other attraction I would recommend is to visit the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mines that is located in Beckley, West Virginia. You'll get to ride a cart in the mines and see and feel what it's like to work in a coal mines. You can read about the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mines here.
