Little Billy loved technology. He loved his television and video games. He loved his cell phone and digital camera. Most of all, Little Billy loved his computer and his e-mail. Little Billy loved using e-mail to send letters to his friends all over the world. Every day Little Billy would look forward to a new e-mail message. It was always a surprise who would send him an e-mail.
On Monday, Little Billy received an e-mail from his Grandmother, in Texas. She was having fun in Texas! She was wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat! How exciting!
On Tuesday, Little Billy received an e-mail from his Pen-Pal, Cho, in Japan. Cho was wearing a 'kimono', and eating 'sushi', She was having fun in Japan! How exciting!
On Wednesday, Little Billy received an e-mail from a deposed price of Nigeria, who had amassed a king's fortune in gold and treasure, and needed Little Billy to help him get it out of the country, and in exchange, he would share his wealth with Little Billy! How exciting!
The deposed prince of Nigeria needed Little Billy to send just five thousand dollars.
The deposed prince of Nigeria would use that five thousand dollars to ship the gold and treasure to America.
In America, a nice man was waiting to buy the gold and treasure. He would give deposed prince of Nigeria five million dollars!
"That is a lot of money!" Little Billy exclaimed.
The deposed prince of Nigeria promised to pay Little Billy back the five thousand dollars, plus much much more in exchange for his help.
Little Billy was very excited. Much much more money was more money than Little Billy had ever had before.
Little Billy ran to his piggy bank, and cracked it open. Many bright shiny coins poured out.
"There has to be five thousand dollars here!" Billy exclaimed. He counted his money.
"Five cents. Fifteen cents. Forty cents," he counted. Finally, he was done!
"I have forty-one cents!" Little Billy was excited. "That is not enough, but am getting close!"
Billy spent the rest of the day looking for money.
He found seven cents in the cushions of the couch!
He found a nickel in his sister's shoe!
He found a rusty old penny behind a piece of glass, hanging in his father's room of rare and valuable coins!
"This is fun!" said Little Billy. "But I am not finding very much money."
"Perhaps you could earn the money!" suggested a nearby particle physicist.
"That is a great idea!" said Little Billy. "But I do not know the first thing about making money."
Little Billy thought and thought and thought. What does he have that he could sell?
He has a TV, but he can not sell that. He will have no way to play video games if he does!
He has a cell phone, but he can not sell that. How will he call his uncle in Pensacola without a cell phone?
"I know!" exclaimed Little Billy! "I know what I have that is the greatest item of all!"
Little Billy had an excellent idea. Little Billy had many friends. He was friends with Little Suzie, and Little Marcy, and Little Amy!
"Lots of people will want to be friends with Little Suzie, Little Marcy, and Little Amy!" Little Billy exclaimed. "I just need to find somebody who needs friends!"
Suddenly, Little Billy remembered Old Man Ralph.
Old Man Ralph never left his house. Lots of people yelled at Old Man Ralph, and threw things at Old Man Ralph. Old Man Ralph was not allowed to live near the school. Old Man Ralph had no friends.
"I will take Little Suzie, Little Marcy, and Little Amy to be friends with Old Man Ralph! He will be so happy to have friends!"
So Little Billy took Little Suzie, Little Marcy, and Little Amy to Old Man Ralph's house. Old Man Ralph was so excited to have friends!
He gave Little Billy five thousand dollars in trade for his new friends!
Little Billy was so excited! He had the five thousand dollars he needed!
He put the money in an envelope, and mailed it to the deposed prince of Nigeria
The next day, the deposed price of Nigeria arrived on an airplane. He had many suitcases full of gold and treasure.
The deposed prince of Nigeria and Little Billy went to see a nice man, who gave the depose prince of Nigeria five million dollars!
The deposed prince of Nigeria turned to Little Billy.

Later, Little Billy showed the money to his mom and dad.
"Wow! That is a lot of money!" Little Billy's mom said.
"What are you going to buy?" Asked Little Billy's dad.
Little Billy thought for a very long time.
"I know! I'm going to buy a candy bar!" Little Billy exclaimed.
Little Billy, Little Billy's Mom, Little Billy's Dad, and a nearby particle physicist all laughed.
The parents of Little Suzie, Little Marcy, and Little Amy did not, as they never saw their children again.
