While in Williamsport for the Little League World Series and you have down time and want something to do Knoebles Grove Amusement Park in Elysburg Pennsylvania just pass Danville it is a great place to take family to have a fun filled day with lots to do. Don't just come here for the Little League World Series travel to Knoebles which is 50 miles away from the Stadium but it will be well worth the trip, even if you are visiting someone in Pennsylvania and your finding it hard to find something to do. There is so much to do there and you can make a day of it pack a lunch or eat there. The Amusement Park opened in 1926 with two world class roller coasters the Twister and the Phoenix. It has been featured on The Discovery Channel and has won awards from such organizations as Amusement today, American Amusement Enthusiasts, and The International Association of Amusement Parks and Recreation.

It not only has great rides but great food such as Pizza. French Fries, Chicken Strips, Soft Ice Cream, Cotton Candy, Candy Apples, Powdered Sugar Funnel Cakes and Cinnamon Funnel Cakes. Knoebels also has a great variety of restaurants throughout the park, both sit-down and counter service, the primary restaurant at the park is the Alamo. Counter service restaurants include Cesari's Pizza, Oasis Cafeteria, Phoenix Junction Steakhouse and the International Food Court. Food ranges from "Famous Fresh Cut French Fries" and potato cakes to Bison sandwiches and Ostrichburgers to milkshakes and homemade fudge. This Park has an excellent accident record and the Twister was rated the third safest roller coaster ride in the United States. It has one of the best Haunted Houses around called the Haunted Mansion. Alot of companies opt to have their yearly company picnic there so that employees at the company can invite their family and friends for a day of fun and they have each family bring food and then picnic at the Parks picnic tables which saves on spending alot of money on food.

I've gone there every year for the past 36 years and I can never get enough of it. There is a ride there that is my favorite ride called the Pirate ship which actually looks like a Pirate ship and it swings you back and fourth going higher and higher each time until you feel like your stomach is about to coming through your mouth, I would not suggest eating before going on this ride you will definitely lose your lunch. There is an Arcade in the middle of the Park that has fun games where you can win tickets and prizes. The outdoor Arena is great to see plays and sit and relax when you get tired they have benches there that seat over 200 people which is great for when you've walked too much and need to get a second wind and at the same time enjoy some Entertainment too. They have a water rides there called the Sklooosh and a pool for swimming when the heat get to be too much and if you don't want to go swimming then they have a platform you can stand on and get wet when the ride come by the platform.

It has a down home feel because it' nestled in the mountains in a remote area if you don't pay attention you could get lost but everyone around that area knows where is it located to I'm sure you will get there with ease. Everyone should experience Knoebles Grove Amusement Park one in the life or even make it an once a year experience with the family you will not believe the fun the entire family will experience. They have the usual rides that other Amusement Parks have like the Boat Ride, Bumper Cars, vendors where you can win stuffed animals, The have plenty of Rest Rooms so no waiting in lines like the Major Amusement Parks. You can find directions to Knoebles from anywhere in the USA through Mapquest they give you the best directions. So when your child has time off from the Little League World Series make it point to take them to Knoebles for a nice relaxing time where they can kick back and have fun without the pressure of winning the next game.
