Little League World Series 2010 Schedule Has Big Doubleheader

The Little League World Series 2010 schedule is almost over. But today's Little League World Series schedule has two more huge scores to decide. After yesterday's schedule, the final four on the bracket has been set, with two U.S. teams and two international squads left. Starting at 1 pm est today, those four finalists will be cut down to two, in time for tomorrow's title match. But although the Little League World Series 2010 schedule ends with the world championship tomorrow, today's scores will give out important honors of their own.

For months, the U.S. and the rest of the world have tried to settle who their best little league teams are. Today, they will answer that question at last, before answering who the world's best squad is. After all this time, Chinese Taipei, Tokyo, Japan, Pearland, Texas, and Waipahu, Hawaii are all that's left.

Today's Little League World Series 2010 schedule starts at 1 p.m. on ABC, with the international championship. Chinese Taipei used lopsided scores to advance, with the exception of their 5-1 win over Panama days ago. Tokyo, Japan has also been impressive, as they are the only other undefeated team to get this far.

Tokyo used two late rallies over Mexico to get here, sandwiched between a win over Puerto Rico. Still, Chinese Taipei has blown through the 2010 Little League World Series schedule, no matter what the final scores are. To the world, this may be the real championship game, although the U.S. has something to say about that.

The next-to-last match on the Little League World Series 2010 schedule is between two teams that rallied big to get here. Pearland, Texas was three outs away from elimination against Auburn, Washington, but four runs in the sixth inning got them through. However, they were not pushed to the brink like Waipahu, Hawaii has been.

Waipahu is the only team left from the losers bracket, after falling in their first game to Columbus, Georgia. Yet they won one elimination game with one hit, and then beat Columbus twice in a row. Yesterday's score had Waipahu fall down 4-0 early, before rallying for a 12-5 victory.

Thus far, practically every game on the Little League World Series 2010 schedule has been do-or-die for the Hawaiians. This is their fifth win-or-go-home game, while this is just the second for Pearland. But no matter how they won to get here, one more win today will make the victor the U.S. champion - and give them a shot at the world title.

Today's two scores will determine two champions, no matter what happens between them tomorrow. The medal round of the 2010 Little League World Series schedule begins at 1 p.m., and will be carried all afternoon on ABC.
