No. I do not have much in the way of material things, and I can't give much to charity, although I do give what I can to those less forunate than myself, and I still consider myself to be productive.
Many years ago God gave me Himself and made me a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now I give my time and what talent I have to God and my fellow man.
They say that "little is much when God is in it," and I may only have a widow's mite to give, but also a long time ago a little boy only had five loaves of bread and two fishes. He gave his little lunch to Jesus and He used it to feed 5000 men, not counting women and children.
Because of both ageism and disability descrimination, no one will hire me for a regular nine to five job. But God lets me work for Him. What an honor it is to be called upon to serve Him.
As far as I'm concerned when Jesus gave me HImself, He gave me the best that life has to offer-better than any glamour job or amount of money or prestige. I am exceedingly rich!
