Little Road Trip of Horrors

My friend asked me to accompany her when she traded in her old car. She had always wanted a range rover and this dealer had a good price. I was skeptical and suggested that a mechanic take a look first but she insisted that the no lemon law would cover her. Having never heard of it I couldn't argue effectively but I now know that it only extends to new cars.

Well she loved it however a few hours later we could tell that something was wrong but the dealer didn't answer his phone and the place would be closed by the time we drove back. The vehicle had started to smoke so we pulled into a supermarket parking lot and spent the night there. We used a newspaper to cover the windows and ourselves, it was cold but trying to find a hotel and ending up stranded in the process was not worth the risk.

The next morning full of aches and pains we awoke and drove to the dealership. She was happy to get her old car back although she did not receive a full refund. Needless to say we both do a better job with research nowadays.
