Wash her car on a Sunday. Sure, you do this, but do it before maybe a special event at her work. Also, I don't mean the standard rinse and soak. Wash the tires and rims, wax the car, dry it with a nice towel instead of air-dry. When finished, ask her help in the garage to find something, and a make-up is born.
Make dinner on a Monday night, including candles, maybe a card. Try making her favorite (you know she always does for you.) When you get older, like myself, and have kids. Set them down in the den to watch television, and have that romantic dinner that still says I love you.
Vacuum the main living areas. That was my chore as a child, and with plants all over the house, it was time consuming. However, it always made my mom happy, which was worth it.
Fix something that she has been worried about. It could be anything from the flickering light, to taking a pair of work shoes in to get resoled.
Buy a light present, the standard method. Maybe that pair of earings she didn't buy, or simply flowers and a card.
If you want to spend a bit more, take her on a weekend vacation, even if it's simply to a local hotel or resort. My father does this one, and has been happily married to my mother for almost 40 years. Of course, with kids this one is more difficult, but you probably have a trusted family member or friend that can watch them. Just make sure to offer to pay, because a weekend can be long when doubling the kids to watch.
Finally, remember that in most cases, it's the man's job to initiate romance. In fact, as a husband or boyfriend, it's the one that gets us in trouble. Don't forget other little things, like washing the dishes, even getting a puppy for the kids. Women enjoy being appreciated and helped around the house. As the saying goes, big things come in small packages.
