Little Tikes Handle Haulers Haul and Ride - My 2 Year Old Loves His Truck

My son received the Little Tikes Handle Haulers Haul and Ride as a gift when he turned one years old. This toy was way over his head. He didn't know what to do with it at the time. He was too young. So I had no choice but to put it in the basement until he got a little older. A year later when he turned guess what I pulled out from the basement. I just dusted it off and off he went. He hasn't stopped riding it since I gave it to him.

This toy is definitely for children two years and older. I know people who have also used it when their child was younger but they used it as a push toy. My son never had interest in using it that way. Now he runs around the house yelling "truck truck truck."

What I like about this toy is that it is versatile. First you can use it as a push toy. This is good for when your child is learning how to walk. It gives them something to hold on to. Next you can use it as a ride on toy. Your child can sit on it and you can push him/her around the house. Your back will break in about 10 minutes of this though. My favorite use is when my son is now old enough to use his legs to push it around the house.

The truck was pretty simple to assemble. I was able to put it together myself while my husband was at work. The back of the truck converts from walker to a ride on to a wagon. It has an adjustable handle that has 3 buttons that plays different sounds. It plays a honking horn, a truck beeping in reverse and a key that sounds like an engine starting. The websites say that the recommended age ranges from 12 to 36 months up to four years. My son is really enjoying now at the age of two. My husband plays a game that when we come home from grocery shopping my son fills the back of his wagon with the food. Then he walks his truck over to the kitchen and starts unloading his packages. He loves this game. He also likes to flip it over and check out the wheels.

One thing that did happen was that one of the wheels kept falling off. My husband told my son he had to take it to the "repair shop" to fix the truck. He was able to fix the wheel by applying some industrial glue. I would suggest waiting 24 hours for the glue to dry and set.

My son cannot get enough of his new favorite toy "truck truck truck!" You can purchase this truck through Amazon.com for a great low price of $29.99. You can't beat that!
