Little Woman's Kinniegarten Graduation

S. E. Masters
Struttin' down the isle
In here gold cap and gown
Her stringy tassel swayed
The same as the other classmates

My breathtaking little girl
Decked in fresh looping curls
Seemed so serious and focused
Before parents, sibling and friends
That totaled two hundred plus

The class sung cute songs
Recited meaningful speeches
The Valedictorian messed up
Then got mad at the teacher

They sang a special song
While using sign language
Quoted whole bible chapters
One cried the entire time
Others provoked loving laughter

Some were short
Some were tall
All were cute
But none were vain
All were declared champions
The prize was promotion to 1st grade

Daddy's little precious posed for pictures
Like a Milan catwalk princess
Undoubtedly the Queen of the day
Won't find more treasure in any bank

I cherished every moment
Watching my little honoree
I was so proud you'd think
She just graduated from Hampton University

The end was here
We rewarded them with cheers
So I greeted a few parents
Thanked the magnificent teacher
Congratulated some of the other babies
Then some dude walked right in front of one of my pictures

Parents all committed
To their child's education
Evidenced by this remarkable demonstration
A cause I will never forget
Little woman's Kinniegarten graduation
