LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition Coming in September

One of the best Playstation 3 games will be re-released in the near future. LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition is coming out on September 8^th.

Many fans and critics believed that LittleBigPlanet is the best game on the Playstation 3. The exclusive title is a physics-based platforming game which requires a lot of running and jumping. You can also invite three other players to join you either locally or online at anytime.

While the core game is incredibly fun, LittleBigPlanet is all about level creation and sharing. All of the story levels in the game is developed using the same tools players are able to use. Creating levels in LittleBigPlanet is simple and intuitive. Furthermore, multiple players can team up. The sharing aspects are equally as slick. Players can rate, add as favorite and even report user-created levels. The whole system works similarly to Youtube.

LittleBigPlanet was released on October 27, 2008 exclusively on the Playstation 3. As expected, the game became one of the highest rated titles of 2008. It managed to take home multiple "Game of the Year" awards.

Thanks to its critical success, LittleBigPlanet is now getting a new special version, LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition. In addition to getting the original full game, you will also receive $30 worth of DLC. After the launch of their game, developer Media Molecule was releasing DLC on a weekly basis. Most of which were premium stickers and costumes.

The LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition does include the biggest DLC yet for the game: the Metal Gear Solid level pack. In addition to some new creative levels, the pack also adds a new element to the game: the Paintinator. This paint gun allows players to shoot projectiles in LittleBigPlanet.

The community is also getting involved with The LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition. 18 players in the community are building a unique level in the upcoming special edition. Each of the featured players will also be interviewed.

Finally, a limited number of The LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition copies will come with access to the ModNation Racers beta. The upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive game is the spiritual successor to LittleBigPlanet. Sporting the "Play, Create and Share" mantra, ModNation Racers allows you to create and share racing tracks, vehicles and characters.

The LittleBigPlanet - Game of the Year Edition will retail for $59.99 when it comes out for the Playstation 3 on September 8^th. If you haven't already, the special edition will tempt you to buy the award-winning title.
