'Live to Dance': The Finale and the Winner Is..The Ballroom Tweens of D'Angelo and Amanda

What a Glorious Way to Open the Finale Results Show with All the Dancers Choreographed by Paula Abdul

With only an hour for a results show on "Live to Dance" the special guests were the Top 6 finalists. They all came out at various times in the lavish production number. It was great seeing all of them together and dancing as one. There were no special guest stars like on other results show. It was primarily seeing the Top Three dancers perform one last time.

You saw a lot of film clips from the auditions and a recap of their journey on the show when a dance act was eliminated. Some of the semifinalists were in the audience. One of them received a very special gift from Chrysler, a new vehicle for the family of Chi Town Breakers. That was such a touching moment. I've enjoyed watching "Live to Dance" and hope it will return for another season. However, here's how it played out.

Opening Dance Number and Top Three Announced

Paula Abdul choreographed this extraordinary dance number with some great song choices that had the word "dance" in the title or lyrics, including the opening theme song sung by Paula. It was amazing to see everyone come together when there must have been at least 60 or more people onstage. Andrew then announced three dance acts would move on to the Top Three and be closer to winning $500,000.

White Tree Fine Art was the first act called. I was very pleasantly surprised to see them have a chance of winning. D'Angelo and Amanda were the next dancers. That was no surprise at all. The third and final act moving on was likely going to be Dance Town Chaos or Twitch. It was neither of them. Kendall Glover was the other tween act to be in the Top Three.

Top Three Perform From Previous Routines

It was great to see these fine dance acts perform one last time from their semifinal routines. The judges did not award them stars, they simply gave loving comments. I was very moved when Travis told White Tree Fine Art that he is officially a fan. D'Angelo and Amanda danced the samba to the Miami Sound Machine's "Conga" one more time. Her costume was constantly in motion. Those tassles were never still for one moment. Kendall Glover's contemporary routine was to Katy Perry's self-empowerment song "Firework." White Tree Fine Art performed to "Hallelujah."

The Top Two Chosen and the Winner is...

After the Top Three finished performing it was time for Andrew to announce who would be coming in third place. White Tree Fine Art was the third place finishers. They should be so proud coming this far when the other acts got a lot more positive feedback. That meant one of the tween acts would be the winner(s). My guess was D'Angelo and Amanda would win it all.

Andrew then announced their names and confetti went off while the parents came onto the stage. This ballroom dance couple is only 9 and 10 years old. They are fortunate to have won this money to put aside for their future dance career. Mark my word. You will be seeing D'Angelo and Amanda on an upcoming results show on "Dancing with the Stars." Congratulations to D'Angelo and Amanda. You certainly deserved it.
