'Live to Dance' Week 4: Paula Abdul Shows Her Kind-Hearted Side; Kimberly Wyatt Sees Red
Twitch, Dance Town Chaos Move on to the 'Live to Dance' Finals
Host Andrew Ginsburg reminded us that this show is "Live and anything can happen"- unlike that "American Idol" show on the other network that was showing us auditions that happened back in October.
First up, Paula Abdul and her team of judges -dance choreographers Kimberly Wyatt and Travis Payne- announced that the act Twitch would be moving on to the finals. Then it was time for six more acts to compete for a spot in the finals.
Dance Town Chaos- Twelve guys and a dream. And a lot of black war paint. The judges loved them. Three gold stars.
Jill and Jacob- The once cutesy couple went all hip hop on us, and Travis hated it, saying it was like watching "married people, divorcing." Only kind-hearted Paula gave this pair the gold, while Kimberly and Travis buzzed in with the dreaded red stars.
Roosevelt Anderson-This solo dancer received mixed reviews, but Paula compared him to classic mime acts like Marcel Marceau and Shields and Yarnell. Kimberly didn't agree and slapped him with a red star.
Tap Sounds Underground- Paula and Travis loved these guys but Kimberly challenged this act to "breathe new life into tap." Another star red from her.
A Shore Thing- This Cape May, NJ ensemble showed us a creepy dream sequence that included lots of cartwheels and acrobatics. Three gold stars.
Kendall Glover- The 11-year old soloist acknowledged that no solo act has made it into the finals. She flipped and flailed to Katy Perry's "Firework" but this time Travis wasn't feeling it. One red from Trav, two gold from the ladies.
Next up, the judges conferred and determined that they would be sending Dance Town Chaos to the finals.
In addition, viewers will vote one of the remaining five acts from this week into the finals. The finalists will compete for the grand prize of $500,000.
