After watching it, I was totally disappointed, Len Wiseman, is not such an experienced director, he only did "Underworld" and "Underworld: Evolution", and I think that is why he was a bit confused about what an action movie is all about, and a sci-fi movie is all about.
I am not saying I did not like the movie, I loved some parts of it, but I am sorry to say, after watching several people being hit by cars, and not get hurt at all, and also watching a person drop from a helicopter which exploded after, also not getting hurt, I felt like watching "Underworld" all over again. I guess the director forgot this movie is about people, and not vampires, and that humans can die if hit by a car going at 70mph, and only vampires will just bounce off, get up, and start walking again.
Another bad aspect about this movie, is that the facts about computer technology in it, are over exaggerated, I am very familiar with computers, and I know how most things work, and what is presented there can not be further from the truth.
Some things just do not match when you are watching it, the best example I found is this: the power plant explodes, the city is left with out power, but like a miracle worker, a hacker manages, pressing a button, to allow a building from the city to have power. even if that building did not have a back-up generator, it is a mystery where the electrical current came from. The second one is: Lucy was stuck in an elevator, she had no signal on her cell phone, but they managed to trace the location of the cell phone, I wonder how, if there was no signal coming from it. I have seen others, but I would like to not comment about them now, these are the one s that are obvious, and everyone can see them.
The good aspects about it are that, the budget was a good one, Bruce Willis stars in it, and as usually he does an excellent job. There are humorous parts during the action, which made me laugh. Also the special effects are of good quality, too bad these types of special effects are not meant for an action movie. In general it is a good production, but as I have said above, it can not be included in the action, thriller category only.
In conclusion, I do not encourage you to see it, or not see it, I personally would not want to see it some time soon, but that is only my opinion. I was really disappointed in it, and not because of the way it was made, just because I went to watch an action movie, and I ended up watching some combined action-sci-fi with super humans.
