Juicing is an easy way to get in your daily vegetable requirements. It is healthy and delicious. I use the Jack LaLanne power juicer deluxe when juicing. I find that the wide mouth really juices quickly.

Keep in mind when juicing that you should choose organic produce whenever possible. It will cost more, but you will not be ingesting those harmful pesticides that could negate the benefits of the juice.

The recipe:

2 1/2 pounds of carrots
3 beets
1/2 inch ginger root
2 apples
Squeeze of lemon juice

Rinse all of your fresh produce and scrub with a vegetable juice. Put the vegetables through the juicer in order. Stir and you are ready to drink.

This recipe should make at least three cups of juice. The sooner you drink it the more beneficial it will be. Enjoy.
