To walk into the valley of one's life, you can never see everything going on in their mind. There may be joy, freedom, and life. However, there may also be sadness, confinement, and death. Where would that person be at thinking about his or her self? You can never really tell can you? You will never know until one day they are already dissipated from the last steps they took. But by then, it is already too late to stop or help them in their feat. Whether it is jumping off of a building, or becoming the president of the United States, one can never know the aspirations of another person.
As of now, I will tell you about a man who has witnessed many things. He is by far a loyal, kind, and honest person. This man loves God with all of his heart, and he gives everything he does his best effort. His name is Justin Balch. I am not saying he is perfect; in fact, he is far from it. However, because of his faith in Jesus Christ he is made into a new creation born of the Holy Spirit and made righteous. He knows that he is an heir as one of Jesus' children.
Without going into a lot of detail, he has gone through a lot in life as most of us have. He has joined in a practice of asking people to examine who they are, and he has them take a look at who they really are. The process is really tough and hard, but he takes the time because he knows what it is like to be there. A lot of the problems in this society stem not from letting people get along, but they come from people not taking interests in others with love.
A man is aspiring to jump off a building or kill everyone in his class. In the typical world philosophy, one may see some signs, but essentially, no one cares. Most people think, "To each his own as long as he is not doing something to hurt me." This, however, is a dangerous thought process because by that time, he has already hurt someone. Justin, learning from what God has put on his heart and from Mike Moss the Navigators' Leader, has learned that God is a living God. When Jesus Christ, God, came down on earth, He had come to the sick more than the "the righteous."
Taking this philosophy, Justin and Mike have a practice of approaching those who are struggling and any that want to learn about the word of God. This is what finds those with one aspiration or the other. These two simply ask the people what they are thinking about. They encourage the people to be their self first, and then, once they reach the core of the person, that is when they start to go deeper with the person continually giving them the healing message and love of Christ first in their actions/prayer/care and then in their love.
In their love, they also approach other Christian to build them up and make them sharper. Like steel on steel, they sharpen others. The ministry they work for in short terms is in the practice of discipleship of others. The ministry is the Navigators, and it has moved through North Carolina like a moving lamp and creature. This is a part of who Justin is. However, his identity is found in Christ.
There is more that I could say. However, my point was to introduce you to Justin Balch. He is a Navigator, and his focus is on Jesus Christ. This page is not to give glory to Justin Balch. It is to commend the good acts that he has done by being an outstanding leader as Justin gives the glory to God. It is to show an example of how the Navigators' ministry is changing lives here in Goldsboro, NC from 612 Adler Lane all the way across the outer borders of town. The touch of this ministry has reached far and beyond. How many school shootings and suicides have been stopped because of this ministry? The simple truth of why this ministry is so successful is because it approaches people in respects to who they are and by focusing on Christ. The only sad thing about this ministry is that there are not enough workers to till and groom the fields. However, they have been growing very fast, yet fast does not seem fast enough. The answer to life is not a single ministry, for the answer is Jesus Christ. This ministry is simply a light house providing light and sending out crew men to both stop ship wrecks and collect wrecked ships. We are the ships being guided by these light houses.
