Living in the Cove - Cypress Cove
Amenities in the Neighborhood and Beyond - Canyon Lake, Guadalupe River, and Living Texas Style
Spring Branch, TX 78070
United States of America
Cypress Cove is a residential community located off of FM 306 in Spring Branch, Texas. According to the community restrictions, the neighborhood was a 64-acre tract of land located near Canyon Lake and right off of the Guadalupe River. It was plotted out in the early 60's and still has an open country feel to it. This community has it all, including it's own non-denominational church, The Chapel in the Cove. What more could you ask for in a community?
Aside from the church, there is a civic center, community park, with picnic and play areas, a neighborhood pool, and a tennis court. Cypress Cove has its own water system so there's no city water to deal with here. All of the homes are site built on lots of ample size and most residents have purchase several lots to have just that much more space. I say the more lots the better!
Don't expect to drive though the neighborhood without getting a wave. Everyone is friendly here. Neighbors look out for you and expect the same in return.
Canyon Lake boat ramp #11 is located within the community. This ramp puts you right on the Guadalupe River. From here you can either go down river and wind up right on Canyon Lake where you can boat around all day and not run out of things to do: fishing, water sports, camping, and even dining (bring your own food or tie up to the Canyon Lake Marina and dine at Papa Dock's Restaurant).
If you choose to go up river, you can join other fisherman in catching an elusive fish. Up river the rapids offer great fishing for White Bass, Striper, Black Bass, and yes even several varieties of Catfish. The ride up river is gorgeous, well worth it even if you don't catch a fish, you can bird watch, commune with nature, and talk to cows. I'm not kidding around here, there are several ranches backed up to the river and you will come across a cow or two.
Back at home, after you clean your fish, you can kick back and read the monthly community newsletter, which updates you on events going on in the neighborhood. There are ice cream socials, pool parties, fish fry's, pot luck dinners, crafts in the park shows, and even an annual Halloween Hay Ride for the kids to get their trick-or-treats on. If you're a lady, you can join the local Red Hats Society and partake in their fair. If you're a man, you can stoke your delight by helping with the monthly community brush burn. There's always something happening in the Cove.

Post a CommentGreat Neighborhood, Beware of the so called Maintenance Association. If you like "The Big Government" that is what they think they are. They pic and choose who and what they are are going to bother. Very Very Poorly ran. No outside Audits ever and same Treasurer for over 20 yrs.
Removed one Board Member from position because a friend wanted to be on the board. Convicted felon that handles the Water Department Money. I could go down the list for ever. Other than that it is a great little neighborhood. Beware of the Pool the attendent thinks it is his personal pool and collects big bucks for doing nothing.
it's all a lie! don't believe any of it! everybody go away!!! rofll
