Living Green, Go Green Herb Garden

Fresh, Fast and Green Friendly

Lee Davis
One of my favorites is a small herb garden sitting in my kitchen window. My cooking skills are confined to the simple, quick and easy. Most of the time, that means packaged or bottled everything. Grab the bottle and add a little of this and little of that. Oops, just got sauce all over the spice bottles, more work.

Put an end to spending more money. Have more room in your cabinet or more space on your counter top. Have fun with your herb garden; all it takes is an herb box, seeds and a pair of scissors. Snip, snip, and your fresh herbs are ready for your soups, sauces, marinates and good flavor for many recipes.

You can begin with planting seeds or buying small herb plants. Many merchants sell kits, convenient and fast. Some favorites include oregano, chives, thyme, sage, parsley, Rosemary, dill, mint and many basil varieties. Your can customize your herb garden to Italian, French or any that fit your palate.

You are on your way to going green. Enjoy and eat healthy.

I line my back porch with herbs during the summer and absolutely love it.
