Instead maintain a steady gaze and stance
Even when living in times that are rough.
Don't be invisible with adherence
To a sad life of low expectations.

Triumphs overshadowed devastations.
Past dreams were zones oppressors could not sway -
Let's live the legacy of hope each day.
