Nestled among the grassy hillsides of North San Diego, California is the community of Rancho Santa Fe, an area that is considered to be one of the wealthiest zip codes in America. Grand estate homes spanning several acres is the norm in Rancho Santa Fe. It is a community with a rich history steeped in tradition and influence. What distinguishes this area from other communities in San Diego and makes it such a desirable place to live are its beautiful rolling hills, commanding vistas, shaded and colored terrain, and of course, the gorgeous dream homes.

The least expensive homes in the area run in the low $1,000,000's while the most expensive and prestigious homes can cost $30,000,000 or more. The first time I visited Rancho Santa Fe I was in awe of all the different styles of homes. Styles range from Mediterranean, Tuscan, traditional and classic, to Old World and fabulous! Empty lots are also available to build the dream home of your choice.

Many celebrities and prominent people buy second homes in Rancho Santa Fe. Famous people who have a home in this area include Jewel, Bill Gates, Janet Jackson, Phil Mickelson, Marshall Goldsmith, and many more.

Rancho Santa Fe has quite a few sub-communities including "The Covenant" which was the original planned community and remains an unincorporated area of San Diego. The Covenant includes the downtown area, Rancho Cielo, Morgan Run, The Bridges, Roxbury Estates, and Fairbanks Ranch, just to name a few. Many of the sub-communities are guarded by gates, although there are many homes within The Covenant that line the main roads.
