Living Through the Night is a collection of short stories and poetry written by Desiree Jensen. It was released for sale to the public on February 27, 2007 and is available online, only, through Lulu.com. The retail price for the Living Through the Night collection, a pocket-sized paperback containing ten short stories and eighteen poems, is $9.50, $5 to download in Adobe PDF format.

The book jacket summary reads as follows: There are many people living in the night. You can meet them here. Meet men who come face to face with their worst fears and find themselves lost in the world they have always known. Meet women who will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Meet people whose nightmares are murder...Literally.

The title, Living Through the Night, is taken from a quotation from on of Ms. Jensen's favorite authors, Dorothy Parker; "As only New Yorkers know, if you can make it through the twilight, you can live through the night." (If You Can Make it Through the Twilight is the title of one of the ten short stories in the collection.) An extensive review and outline of selected stories can be found at BeShameless.net.

Desiree Jensen is a 26-year-old graduate of Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado, where she studied English, Creative Writing and Professional Writing. Her college experiences have led her to a desire to publish, not just her own writing but that of others as well, as a publisher. Which is the reason she started Spoonbender Press. Also under the title of the Spoonbender Press is an online literary 'zine entitled bending spoons.
