Living a Toxic Free Life in a Toxic World

The Fight for Survival

Carmella Mae Dunkin
Most people probably think it is easy to live a toxic free life, but for many it is a dream that they can never seem to quite touch.

What I am mainly talking about here, is toxic mold, or sick building syndrome. If you think that mold is just something that grows in the bathroom, think again, and can be anywhere, your walls, under the floor, in your carpet. If you have a pet there is mold growing on it's skin. That is why some people are allergic to cats and dogs, because of the mold that grows in pet dander on the animals skin.

Molds can make you very sick, to a point that some cannot function at all. Most people are not sensitive, (allergic), to molds, however all it takes is living with a hidden mold for a few years, or less, and it's a whole new story. People who live in these conditions for an extended period of time may experience a number of disabling conditions, from a simple runny nose, (in the beginning, it gets worse the longer the person stays in the building), to severe pains all over the body that last for hours upon hours every day with no relief at all. Arthritis, fybromialgia, lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome, nose bleeds, asthma, multiple sclerosis, mental illnesses, even cancers have been linked to toxic molds. There have even been a number of people who have died from toxic mold poisoning.

Once sensitized to toxic mold, you are then open to multiple chemical sensitivities, allergies to pollens, drugs, and a whole host of things. It literally becomes almost impossible to live toxic free in any building. I myself know a large number of people who have these very problems. They cannot live in a most houses without constantly being sick in some way. This is because so many houses have mold growing in them, and for those who have been toxified by molds, it is miserable to live in these conditions even for just one day!

No one is immune to toxic mold poisoning. Anyone of us can fall into this horrible nightmare of a life, and never know when we will be in a home where we are not sick all time. Never know when we will be able to live a toxic free life again.

My family knows what it is like to not be able to live a toxic free life, we are one of the families described above. Please visit the web sites listed and educate yourself on what toxic mold is, and how to protect your house and your family and keep them safe.
