Lloyd Carr Goes Out with a Bang

New Look Offensive Strategy Previews the Future of Michigan Football

Lloyd Carr will be remembered as one of the classiest college football coaches in the history of the game. A brilliant carreer, that has been blemished by recent losses to Ohio State and a winless draught in season ending bowl games, Lloyd Carr is going out a winner today. His Michigan Wolverines defeated the #12 Florida Gators in the Capital One Bowl today, shocking many people. Most thought that Michigan's trouble with against a mobile quarterback and a perceived lack of team speed would result in a blow out loss to the Tim Tebow led Florida Gators.

Michigan hit the ground running today with an opening drive touchdown that displayed a spread offense look which took the Florida Gators by surprise. Rich Rodriguez, the new incoming head football coach for the Wolverines next year, got a sneak peak of the type of offensive numbers that his system can produce at Michigan with the spread offense.

The Michigan Wolverines beat up on the Florida Gators today, producing nearly 600 yards of total offense. The Final Score of 41-35 was a lot closer than it should have been due to two Mike Hart fumbles inside the one yard line. Chad Henne had a career day with nearly 400 yards passing including 3 touchdowns.

It was the first time all season, that Michigan actually played to level that everyone expected them to and a great way to send Lloyd Carr into retirement. His tenure of service the University of Michigan will always be remembered and appreciated.

GO Blue!!!
