The White Rock Local Market is hosted by the Green Spot, a gas station that offers bio-fuels and organic foods. It's a great collaboration that brings green ideas, healthier living, and local farmers and their products to the public. The market takes place from 8AM to 1PM every second and fourth Saturday from March until December. Some of the local vendors offer organic and natural produce, artisan breads, handmade pasta, and vegan baked goods. You can also find one of a kind items from local artists offering clothing, jewelry, furniture, and ceramics. They've even begun accepting EBT cards (food stamps).

The McKinney Farmer's Market takes place at two locations: on Saturdays at Chestnut Square (corner of Chestnut and Anthony) and on Thursdays at Adriatica (corner of Virginia and Stonebridge), from the third week in March until the end of October . This is a great family fun event where kids can pick their own veggies and learn about what it means to buy local, sustainable products.
