Lake of the Woods Golf Course is one of my favorite local golf courses in Columbia for a few reasons. It is one of the cheapest courses in town and it is a fairly flat and easy course. Lake of the Woods Golf Course is an 18 hole course that is open all year if you are looking for golf in Columbia, MO. While it is not the prettiest local golf course in town, and I would actually have to say it is the least attractive 18 hole course in our area, it does have a swimming pool. The swimming pool is great for letting the kids play and lay out while you play a round of golf in Columbia, MO!

L.A. Nickell Golf Course, like the Lake of the Woods Golf Course, is the other Parks and Rec course for golf in Columbia, MO. This local golf course is more difficult than the Lake of the Woods course, and is a very nice looking course. I enjoy the entire 18 holes of this course, even when it is busy as you do not feel you are right on top of the other golfers.
Perche Creek

Perche Creek Golf Course is a fun little par 3 local golf course for all levels. This course for golf in Columbia, MO is just outside of town and just off the highway. There are several fun aspects to Perche Creek. Miniature golf, go karts, and batting cages, as well as a great little driving range, make this a fun course to spend a date at. The front 9 are even lit up for the evening for those who would like to play at night.

Eagle Knoll is the best local golf course in the Columbia, MO area and has even been named one of the Best Places to Play by Golf Digest. This local golf course is beautifully manicured and is a challenge to play. If you only have one chance to play at a local golf course in Columbia, MO then you should choose this course. Eagle Knoll is by far the most expensive of the course reviewed in this article but the price is well worth the experience.
