Cavanaugh Flight Museum
The Cavanaugh Flight Museum is one of the finest flight museums in the nation and a must see attraction for aviation buffs. Aircraft from as far back as World War I are on display and many of them are still airworthy - the Cavanaugh Museum is not just a wonderfully complete aircraft museum, it is located at the Addison Airport, has a working aircraft hanger and has some of the finest aircraft mechanics in the country to keep the aircraft airworthy. Addison Circle Park
Addison Circle Park is one of the largest outdoor event venues in the country. There are many festivals and gatherings held here throughout the year.
Water Tower Theatre
Addison's Water Tower Theatre is a great regional theatre with a line-up of productions by a professional cast that make the trip to a downtown theatre unnecessary.
Dallas Galleria Mall
The Dallas Galleria Mall has more than 200 up-scale stores in a multi-level mall format; some of the best names in merchandising are found here. Lots of restaurants and a great ice skating rink right in the middle of it all.

The Improv
Addison is the proud home of one of the 15 Improv Comedy Clubs around the United States. Not much more needs to be said about that except, go ahead and laugh out loud . . . not that you'll be able to stop yourself.

Post a CommentMoonoveraddison so far is a huge disappointment. I thought it would be easy enough to pay and get instant access but I think the frustration in trying to get a signal has been far from worth it. When I called to ask some questions I got someone telling me in short, "Deal with it". Of course they do give you the option of buying an additional expensive piece of hardware. I might as well just pay for the installation of a cable connection. Hopefully they're planning to improve this horrible service and if so it would be nice if they shared the news with the rest of us.
Moonoveraddison does indeed suck. I am using it only because DSL cost are also very high. The town of Addison is one of the worst places on the planet to try to get decent Internet connectivity. Many areas are not covered by cable providers, the phone and telecom infrastructure is all copper and corroded. Ther is no chance that fiber will ever be installed as long as the present city manager and his cronies are around. All they care about is collecting sales taxes and that most people who work in Addison go home to some other town after work so the city doesn't have to provide any service or over see any franchise for things like telecommunication services. One can get far better connectivity in Japan for $15 a month than all of Addison's bandwidth combined. I'll be out of this dump as soon as my apartment lease is up.
