The Ala Moana Center is located at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard. It is a fabulous open-air mall with numerous high-end stores, which provide a world-class shopping experience on the island of Oahu. In that respect, Alan Wong's Pineapple Room fits right in, even if it is located in the Macy's department store.
On the weekends, Alan Wong's Pineapple Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; during the week, they limit service to just lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served on Saturdays (from eight to eleven a.m.) and Sundays (from nine to eleven a.m.). Lunch is served daily from eleven a.m. to four p.m. (though on Sundays, lunch service concludes at three). The lunch menu includes starters and salads, sandwiches, including wonderfully prepared burgers, and entrees that include meatloaf, short ribs, and mahi mahi. I highly recommend their house burger, which is made with locally raised grass-fed beef.
The dinner entrees from world-renowned chef Alan Wong are exceptional. The dinner menu at Alan Wong's Pineapple Room includes Soy Lemongrass Roasted Duck, Mahi Mahi, Seared Ahi Fresh Big Island Whole Moi, New York Striploin and Rib Eye Steak. The presentation at Alan Wong's Pineapple Room is magnificent, and the dishes are cooked to perfection.
Alan Wong's Pineapple Room is a great example of how contemporary Hawaii regional cuisine should be. The staff is friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is pleasant and warm. At the Ala Moana Center, shoppers have a wide selection of excellent restaurants to choose from, yet I found myself returning to Alan Wong's Pineapple Room quite frequently. Of course, reservations are highly recommended, especially during Hawaii's high season.
You can contact Alan Wong's Pineapple Room at 808-945-6573 for reservations and for more information on the restaurant and menu. Or you can visit Alan Wong's Pineapple Room at their web site, alanwongs.com. Aloha, and enjoy your shopping and dining experience at Alan Wong's Pineapple Room at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Let's go :-)
Great review, as expected. I really like the name of this place for some reason.
Another good review Jack! I am sorry that I haven't gotten to read many of the articles. I will catch up on them. The tornado that struck SE Wi., hit our neighborhood. We were very fortunate in only losing the roof on our porch. A lot of our friends and neighbors were not as fortunate with their homes. I am happy to say though that there were no serious injuries.
