Lock Down 2011
Lock Down Will Be Live on Pay-Per-View (PPV), Sunday April 17th, 2011. Starting at 8 PM ET - 5 PM PT
At Victory Road 2011, RVD and Mr. Anderson faced off against each other in a Number One Contenders Match. Neither man was able to claim victory as the match ended in a double count out. The double count out led to them both getting a Championship Match against Sting.
Sting won the Championship on March 3rd, 2011. I can not see him losing the Championship so soon. That is why I'm giving the victory to Sting.
Winner: Sting
LETHAL LOCK DOWN CAGE MATCH: Immortal (Ric Flair, Abyss, Bully Ray, & Matt Hardy) vs. Fortune (Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, James Storm, & Robert Roode)
What is Lethal Lock Down?
During a Lethal Lock Down match one superstar from each team will enter by alternating. For example, one person of Immortal enters, followed by one person from Fortune, followed by one person from Immortal, and so on. Victory can not be obtained until all superstars have entered the cage.
Immortal has momentum going into this match. Bully Ray took out Fortune leader Aj Styles when he 'power bombed' him off the entrance ramp through a table. This lead to Christopher Daniels returning to TNA to get revenge on Styles behalf. Going into this match angry could end up costing Fortune the victory, but with a little bit of luck they will have no trouble defeating Immortal.
Winners: Fortune (Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, James Storm, & Robert Roode)
CAGE MATCH: Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle
These two faced off at Against All Odds, with a special stipulation on the line. If Jarrett won the match, Angle had to walk his ex-wife down the isle and hand her over to Jarrett. If Angle won the match, he would get custody of his two children. Jarrett walked away with the victory and Angle was forced to walk his ex-wife down the isle.
Now these two will be facing off in a cage match but this time there is no special stipulation. Jarrett has nowhere to run once he steps inside the cage. That is why I'm giving the victory to Angle.
Winner: Kurt Angle
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - CAGE MATCH: Madison Rayne (Champion) vs. Mickie James
Stipulation: If Rayne wins she gets to shave James bald. If James wins she becomes the new Knockouts Champion.
These two first met at GENESIS with Rayne picking up the victory. One month later they faced off at Against All Odds with Rayne picking up another victory over James. Rayne was able to pick up victories in both matches thanks to interference by Tara. At Lock Down Tara will not be able to interfere inside the cage. Giving James a fair shot at becoming the Knockouts Champion. That fair shot is all James needs to become the new Knockouts Champion. Besides she put her hair on the line in this match. Rayne losing the Championship to James is a lot less worse than James getting her head shaved.
Winner: New Knockouts Champion Mickie James
CAGE MATCH: Hernandez vs. Matt Morgan
These two have been feuding for quite some time now. Morgan picked up victories at Slammiversary VIII and 3.3.11 . While Hernandez was victorious at Victory Road 2010 and Victory Road 2011 . At Victory Road 2011, Hernandez stole the victory. Morgan was dominating the match until the referee went down. When the referee went down Hernandez fell to the corner. Morgan thought Hernandez was bleeding and called for a new referee. As Morgan went to pick up Hernandez he was sprayed with fake blood. When the new referee arrived in the ring he saw the fake blood on Morgan and assumed it was real. Thus declaring Hernandez the winner of the First Blood Match.
Now these two will face off inside a steal cage. The last time these two met inside a steel cage, Hernandez picked up the victory. This time around things are going to be different. If Morgan dominates Hernandez like he did at Victory Road 2011, he will have no problem walking away a winner.
Winner: Matt Morgan
CAGE MATCH: "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero vs. Samoa Joe
These two faced off at Against All Odds with Joe picking up the victory. To continue feuding it would make sense for The Pope to win this time around. Being inside a steal cage I don't see that happening. I don't know how The Pope will be able to steal a victory inside a steal cage, which is why I'm giving the victory to Joe.
Winner: Samoa Joe
X-SCAPE MATCH: Jeremy Buck vs. Robbie E. vs. Chris Sabin vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Max Buck vs. Suicide vs. Jay Lethal vs. Amazing Red
What is a X-Scape Match?
An X-Scape Match has one major difference than other cage matches. Since this match features multiple superstars, no superstars can escape the cage for victory until two superstars remain. Once all other superstars have been eliminated by pin fall or submission, the remaining two superstars must compete to escape the cage. They can escape the cage by climbing out or going through the cage door.
Jeremy Buck and Max Buck let their differences get in the way at Victory Road 2011. Both men had the opportunity to become the new X-Division Champion, but neither brother would lay down for the other. Costing both men a chance at becoming Champion. Now these two have a chance to win a match that could put them back in the Championship picture. Even though they have been given this opportunity they are likely to blow it again. It would be smart for them to work as a team and eliminate every other superstar. The past has shown us that they can not work together. Once again that will be their downfall.
With Jeremy and Max basically taking each other out of this match look for Sabin or Suicide to pick up the victory. It would be nice to see Kendrick win but he has never captured the X-Division Championship. Giving Robbie E., Sabin, Suicide, Lethal, and Red an advantage over him. Out of those superstars I'm going to predict Sabin as the winner, but I would not be surprised if Robbie E. sneaks away with a victory.
Winner: Chris Sabin
FATAL FOUR-WAY TAG TEAM CAGE MATCH: Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal) vs. Crimson & Scott Steiner vs. Orlando Jordan & Eric Young vs. Magnus & Douglas Williams
This match could go to any team but I'm going to take a chance on Magnus and Williams.
Ink Inc. had their opportunity at Victory Road 2011, when they failed to defeat Beer Money for the Tag Team Championships.
Crimson and Steiner seemed like they were paired together so that TNA would have something for them to do.
Jordan and Young are a great tag team but I think they have been added to this match for entertainment only. I'm not sure if TNA takes them seriously as a tag team.
Magnus and Williams recently reformed the British Invasion. That gives them the momentum going into their match at Lock Down. They are also the only heel group in this match. Since the Tag Team Champions (Beer Money) are a face tag team, they need a heel group to take them on. Who better to do that than Magnus and Williams.
Winners: Magnus and Douglas Williams
