Neighborhood: Cache County Fairgrounds
Logan, UT 84321
If you are new to Logan Utah, you are probably wondering what this "Nights of Lights" is all about. With its grand opening on November 27th featuring a community tree lighting ceremony, this worthy event will take place from now until the 22nd of December. So what's all the fuss about? As an annual fund raiser for the Alliance of Youth, Cache Valley is bringing the community weekly activities for the whole family to enjoy. Donations will be requested at some events, but many are free of charge. Here's the low down on what's going on in your town.

On December 1st, and every Friday until the 22nd of December, there will be a community concert at the Cache County Fairgrounds on 400 South 500 West. Some of the highlighted concerts include a KSM Rockin' Holiday Fest, Smile on your Brother Concert, and Acoustics and Art from SVHS. All of these concerts run from 6-10pm (with the last one being the exception, starting at 7pm), and a small $3 fee per person is requested to attend. However, two free of charge concerts will be presented by the local school orchestras on December 8th and December 15th,, from 7-10pm. This is your chance to get into the holiday spirit with the music of the season.

And for your little ones (and big ones) there will be Saturdays of no-charge craft making. On December 2nd don't miss the 4-H craft camp from 9:30am to noon, and the craft fair from noon till 7:00pm. There will be Snacks provided from "Santa" and a number of hand crafted arts, including jewelry and "house warmers" to choose from. The Fairgrounds will be decked out in holiday cheer, with a Peppermint Playhouse Pavilion that can be rented in the evenings for family and office parties.

The community Lowe's is also offering "construction kits" on December 11th from 6-8pm. Although the kits vary, you will be sure these construction kits will be all that you need to build something fun and festive with your children. This is a free family event, so save a space in your calendar.

And if your kids love Santa, don't miss the Stocking lunches with Santa. On December 9th and 16th, that jolly elf will appear from 11am to 1pm to rile your kids up and give them a snack.

You have no excuse to sit at home this season, when Logan Utah has so much to offer you and your family to make the winter cold less penetrating.
