In the top right there are 3 lights that light up red that show if you have the scroll lock, num lock and caps lock on or off. I like this, it is a deep red colour and i think it looks really good, and if i'm not using the keyboard to type, then i will have all 3 lights on because they actually look really good.
Another good point to the G15 is that the whole keyboard and every button is backlit, if you game a lot and stay up late like me... Then you will be able to turn out all the lights because the back light lights up the whole keyboard a deep orange colour including the LCD display. The button can be optionally turned on full, low or off with a button that is placed right next to the lights that show the num lock, scroll lock and caps lock. I like this feature, i generally have my backlight on full at all times, although if i am watching a movie on my computer i will turn off the lights so that they do not disturb me while i watch the movie.
The keyboard also comes equipped with a Gamers Switch, if this switch is turned on, it disables the disables the windows key so that it can not be acedentally pressed while in a game. One thing that i would have added to this feature is the fact that you can still press the stick keys while game mode is turned on. I game a lot and i use shift to jump so i am forever being annoyed by stick keys, so with gamer mode, i would have added the feature so that stick keys would be disables.
I love the feel of the keyboard, some keyboards that i have used start to hurt your hands after a while because you have to push them hard and they just feel uncomfortable. The G15 feels different to me, i don't have a problem with it and i could type with it all day. The keys are also pretty quite when you type. The bottom of the keyboard were you would place your wrists has plastic, it looks good, but the feel looks cheap i think. Logitech have made up for this however, every keyboard comes with a removable from that is made of a rubber material that can be added, it stops your writs from slipping and it makes the keyboard look much better although much larget.
The keyboard, i would say, is much heavier that a usual keybaord, but with the technology inside, i see it as expected, its not too heavy, but it is noticeably heavier than a normal average joe keyboard.
On the left side of the key board there are 6 keys called G Keys, these allow you to set them to do different things, like i have one set in to my password, so every time i press it, it will automatically write my password, the same with my most used username and email. You can set the G keys to do any command really as well as run calculator, microsoft, internet, media and many more things, they are an excellent feature and much fun to use and program. The G keys have 3 sections (M1, M2 and M3). If you press M1 all 6 G keys can be programmed to do one things, if you press M2 all 6 G keys can be programmed to do something else, and the same with M3. So really you have 18 G keys and not just 6.
Around the LCD Display panel there are a few buttons. There are general buttons such as the skip buttons, stop, play and pause, up sound and down sound and mute sound. There are also 5 buttons on the LCD display. If you press the circle button, it will switch the LCD Display between different sections such as performance monitor, media display, clock, emails, ect. You can get addons for the G15 for applications and games. the other 4 buttons do the following... For example if you have the media display selected, it will show the time left and the time it is at as well as the song, if you press one of the buttons it may switch to what the next song is, so if you have the media display selected, pressing one of the 4 buttons will show you different things to do with media, somethings are simple and do not need the 4 buttons.
The key board is great, there are very few problems that i can say with it, i love it and i would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new keyboard, they are good and look good for every type of person with any computer.
Thanks for reading my review and i hoped it helped.
