Logitech usually produces really great mice. They work well, and are easy to find and repair. Another great reason to buy Logitech stuff, is that most products are reasonably priced for all consumers. I really liked the Logitech LX8 Mouse model, though. There are several features about it, that made it ideal to use, and since it has always worked for me as a work mouse, I thought, why not! And another factor that made me buy a new mouse, was the fact that I would really need a new fast mouse to replace the ordinary one that came with my desk PC.
The Logitech LX8 Mouse is sleek and ergonomic, ideally designed to fit into your palm, and offer support to nearly every part of your hand. It's a funky little model too. The Logitech LX8 Mouse has rubber coated sides that are perforated to allow for easy catching and gripping, although it's not really required. I think I would really prefer the Logitech LX8 Mouse without those side rubber panels. They tend to get slippery when my fingers start to sweat. The Logitech LX8 Mouse is a five button mous, and it's really easy to turn it into an eight button mouse. You can perform several functions with the same model. The SetPoint work functions are really great to allow for multiple functions at fast rates. One of the main advantages with the eight button function, is that you can tweak the Logitech LX8 Mouse to be really great for gaming.
The mouse is really good for large hands too, although if you move too far away from the machine, you might not be able to get signals. That's one drawback that I did not really like. Be warned that the size is really big, and it suits large hands, but you may get smaller versions. I personally feel that a large Logitech LX8 Mouse is best for gaming, it gives you a real feel for the game! The Logitech LX8 Mouse has an attached USB port, and a USB adapter extender that is great to use. It's a pretty simple design of cable with a USB at one end, and a USB port on the other end. Using the port and plug system will obviously get you better reception, but it does work fine without the cable too, at a distance of up to 3 feet.
The Logitech LX8 Mouse works as advertised, although a few more features could have made it unique. I am personally very happy with it, as the quality of scrolling and gaming is great for me. I would change the rubber sides, though as soon as possible. And for the rate of $14.99, I think the Logitech LX8 Mouse is a steal!
