I'll start off by saying that this is the best mouse I've ever had. I work on a computer nearly all day and this mouse has really helped my hand out. If you've ever spent too long on a computer using a cheap mouse, you'll know that your hand and wrist will be killing you before you're finished.
This mouse is ergonomic, and my hand fits comfortably on it. Unlike a cheap, common mouse, this one is sculpted to allow your hand to hold it in a natural manner. It is also big enough to where your fingers aren't strained from keeping them flexed as with a smaller mouse. The only draw back is if you are left handed, because this mouse is designed for a right handed user. If you are left handed, there is no way that you could use this mouse. I'm not sure if they make one for lefties. I do know that Logitech makes mice specifically for left handed users, but I've not seen one in this style.
This mouse is also great if you work on a surface that doesn't pick up optical mice. I know that a typical optical mouse will have problems on a black table, shiny surface, or other irregular surface. Not this mouse. This mouse uses laser technology and will work on any surface, even the back of your hand!
There are also eight buttons which are programmable. Three of them are on the inside of the mouse and easy to press with your thumb. This is a great thing if you use applications and want direct control of certain functions at the tip of your fingers.
It has a lithium battery that is rechargeable. The mouse comes with a cradle which you can sit it on to recharge it. It has a fast recharge cycle too, and takes only about two hours to fully charge it. The battery lasts for about three days, and this is with using it pretty much all day long. The mouse also goes into some sort of sleep mode after you haven't touched it for a few seconds. The little lights indicating the battery will go off and then it comes back on immediately if you touch it.
It is also wireless and I haven't had any problems with interference or with the signal. It's really fantastic to have one less wire cluttering up my desk.
It was a pretty expensive purchase, I spent about $90 on it, but it was well worth it, especially considering the alternative of developing problems like tendonitis or carpal tunnel with my wrist from using a mouse that doesn't support my hand ergonomically.
