I can't say how much more comfortable this is than the old traditional headsets. The microphone is also very good. It has noise cancellation to filter out any background noise so that only your voice comes through. The microphone is better than any other PC microphone I have ever used.

The cable provided with the Logitech PC Precision Gaming Headset is a full ten feet, making it extremely easy to use. Too many times I have problems with sets whose cables are too short and I barely have room to plug it into my computer and be able to wear it on my head.

Packaging on the Logitech PC Precision Gaming Headset boasts that it is optimized for use with computer games. What exactly is detailed in this optimization I'm not sure. It doesn't seem to function any better with use in games than with any other feature. It is a quality headset no matter what software you wish to use it with.

As for price the headset is a little bit more expensive than some at $29.99, but definitely cheaper than many of the options out there. It is a high quality headset and works for just about anything you could want it for.
