The place itself is not that big, but being like that gives you a cozy, right-at-home feeling, and the ambiance is wonderful. I guess we walked in on a good day because they seated us almost immediately; based on reviews from other people I heard that there is usually a 40-minute wait. The seating is broken-up into a few small sections, and my boyfriend and I were seated somewhere along the back around where the kitchen is located at. The waitress we had was very nice and made it pleasant for us to be there. We just waited about ten minutes before we received our pie. My boyfriend and I decided to get the 14'' small pizza with pepperoni and with roasted red peppers as the toppings. The pizza looked so good, and it tasted even better. I cannot stress enough how good this pizza was. The crust was freshly baked and perfectly thin, the seasoning of the tomatoes tasted so fresh, the pepperoni along with the red peppers were such a delicious combination, and not to mention the cheese which just melted in our mouths. I did not think I would eat three slices, but once I looked at the plate it was served in, no other slices were left! [Lol] Also, the price was pretty reasonable for the quality of pizza that you get, a little less than $20 for the small pie. The small pie is good enough for two really hungry people. I also tried their freshly brewed iced tea, and the only thing I did not like about it was that it was unsweetened, but there were many packets of white and brown sugar at the table so it really was not such a big deal for me.
I have nothing but good things to say about this place; I would definitely go back and play around with other toppings (everything looks good, so it is hard to pick something right away), and maybe even try an appetizer this time. You will not be at all disappointed with this place, so next time you are roaming the streets of New York City, stop by Lombardi's (on an empty stomach) and treat yourself to the most scrumptious pizza you could ever have imagined.
