I agree that Windsor is too much with Stonehenge and Bath. On my first trip to England I did the bath Stonehenge day tour and it is a full day, I have returned almost 20 times since and now do it on my own but a bus trip can be perfect for some people.

Good information. There are trips that do Salisbury Cathedral, Bath and Stonehenge, which is good for a day out, but if you are going to Windsor Castle, you could easily spend half a day there minimum, and Runnimede (where the Magna Carta was signed and the JFK Memorial stands) is just a short drive away. Bath is a good 2 hours from Windsor, and you could equally well spend a day there exploring the Roman Baths, Cathedral, quaint old shops and Georgian houses. It depends on how much time you have in England really as to what you do. If you are only in England for a short time though, a day trip to Paris is not much more than spending the best part of the day on a train, with a couple of hours for photos in the middle. Enjoy a day out in England, and save Paris for the next trip would be my advice.

This is good. And, please allow me to extend warm thanks and gratitude for your message of compassion and love. I never knew my father and my mother dumped me off at the Queens so this family is so special to me. Thanks so much friend. I'll be struggling with this for some time but I know that we will all see her again. You are just too kind to me my friend. Your friendship is just indescribable and I value it so much. I am so thankful to know you and treasure your words of comfort and this message means so much to me my friend...many blessings,

    Jack : - )

I'm not into "hauntings." I do think some of the personages you mention are very interesting! I think mostly I would like to visit outside London -- but you suggest some interesting exceptions.

  • Abby Greenhill2/9/2011

Would love to be there for the big wedding, but I don't fly so that makes travel difficult!

  • Kathy Minicozzi2/8/2011

I would LOVE to do this one of these days.
