London Fashion Week S/S 2011 Trend Alert! the London Lolita
LFW S/S 2011 RTW Puts a Mature Spin to the Traditional Lolita-look
Twenty8Twelve's London Lolita for Spring/Summer 2011
Twenty8Twelve is a British contemporary clothing line with a very youthful appeal. One dress in particular, found on slide 3 of the London Lolita Lookbook, mixed the London Lolita trend with a contemporary adult spin. A yellow print, mini sundress with a shirred waist and white peek-a-boo underskirt provides girlish flirtation. Partnered with a black lace shrug and sunglasses, this look combines teenage charm with adult sophistication for a great late spring/summer daytime look.
Erdem's London Lolita at London Fashion Week S/S 2011
Erdem's entire spring/summer 2011 ready-to-wear was full of girlish frocks to choose from. My favorite dress is the red lace number found on slide 11 of the London Lolita Lookbook. This lace dress features a boat neck, 3/4-scalloped sleeves and a pleated mini skirt. Erdem's little red dress is best suited for an evening out to a cocktail party, garden party or any semi-formal occasion.
David Koma's Modern London Lolita for Spring/Summer 2011
The next-to-the-last day of London Fashion Week Spring 2011 featured David Koma's ready-to-wear collection. Many modern looks graced the Koma runway. However, one look, found on slide 16 in the London Lolita Lookbook, exuded a flirty girlish charm with a modern sexiness that the confident, fashion-forward style maven would adore. David Koma's white, sheer top with opaque patch details provides the provocative for the girlish peach and white pleated mini skirt. This London Lolita look is both fresh and dangerously sexy for day or night.
These three looks are my best picks of the London Lolita look. However, these are just three of 18 looks I spotted during London Fashion Week Spring 2011. Browse through my London Lolita Lookbook found on Style.com to see all 18 looks. Women dare to embrace your girlish charm this spring by becoming a London Lolita yourself. I am quite sure you will turn heads!
