London's New Year's Day Parade

How I Wish We Have Something like that in the Philippines

In London, people flock to the city for the annual New Year's Day Parade..

Wow! That must be one great show in order to pull out that many people from the comfort of their homes and even with their hangovers.

The 23rd annual New Year's Day parade passed by some of the city's best-known landmarks, such as Trafalgar Square, Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament along its 2.2-mile (3.5-kilometre) route. I think it is a beautiful way to celebrate and welcome the New York--indeed with a big bang and much revelry.

I think it would also be good for us Filipinos to have something like that, instead of having to light up firecrackers and send bullets flying across the sky. Don't you think?
