One great thing about Lone Star is that they offer Kids Zone. This allows two kids to eat free off of the Kid's menu all day on Tuesdays. This saves a little money on your dining experience. My family eats here almost every Tuesday because of this offer. The kids menu isn't expensive, but the offer is a good excuse to go out to eat. The average kid meal will cost about $3.99.

Starting off with an appetizer is a must. If you like onions, I suggest the Texas Rose. It costs $6.99 and is a whole onion covered in batter and a special seasoning sauce. A new appetizer they offer is the Crab-Topped Shrimp Scampi. It is shrimp scampi covered with crabmeat, bread crumbs and parmesan cheese with garlic butter sauce. This may be my new favorite appetizer. There is also the Wild Fire Shrimp, Chicken, Tenders, Amarillo Cheese Fries, Lone Star Skins and the Spicy Spinach & Artichoke Dip. All of these appetizers will get you off to a great start.

Lone Star is great at making steaks. I usually get the Garlic Lover's Medallions. This meal has 8 oz. of grilled beef medallions topped with roasted garlic butter on top of Texas rice. The meal costs $10.99. If you don't eat on a budget, try the 14 oz. Texas-Sized Ribeye. It is probably the best steak you can order at Lone Star. My wife's favorite is the 16 oz. Texas-Sized Sirloin which runs about $18.99. The Jumbo Baked Sweet Potato and steamed broccoli are the two best sides with these meals.

If you are into salad, Lone Star has a great variety to choose from. There is the Portobello Sirloin Salad, Cobb Salad, El Paso Salad, and a Caesar Salad. For lunch I usually get the El Paso Salad with mesquite-grilled shrimp for $10.99.

If you have room for dessert, I suggest the Big Brownie Blast. My wife suggests the New York Style Cheesecake. There is also the Homemade Apple Cobbler and the Key Lime Pie to choose from. Any of these desserts will finish you off for the night.

This restaurant is very clean. We have never had an issue with the presentation of the tables, rest rooms, or the food. The servers and hostesses are always polite and make sure your dining experience is worth the time and money.
