Lone Wolf tumbles through the air
How he go to this point doesn't matter
He only knows that he feels the panic rising in this throat
His body lands in thin snow
His shoulder crashes against hard, frozen ground
The air is pushed out of his lungs
Into a darkness he is plunged
"Lone Wolf, awaken"
He hears the voice of his Lady of Dreams
"Lone Wolf, awaken and show me that you live"
Her voice implores with the passion he had sought
Slowly, his eyes open and he is in nowhere
No ground, no trees, no snow, no sky
Only her face in his vision, her hand warm in his fur
He knows he is in the OtherWorld for the time being
Panting softly, he gives in to the pleasure of her hand
Knowing it will only be for a short while
That soon his eyes will open where he lay
Bruised, battered and injured in the snows
She bends down softly and kisses the edge of his snout
He licks her face with unbridle passion, causing her to giggle
"It is ok, Lone Wolf, I shelter you here
When you pass back to your form, my warning you must heed"
Lone Wolf listened carefully to all she had to say
Drinking in the knowledge that she provided him
Of where safety could be found for him to heal
Here in his mountains that he had been away from for so long
Gently, she lowered herself to a knee
Placing both hands on either side of his head
She looked directly into his eyes
"I do love you, you must find me"
Then slowly, the vision began to fade
She disappeared from his view
Her touch no longer in his coat
And he knew he was back to his form
"I love you too" he mouthed against the howling winds
"And find you, I will - but first I will heal
As you told me to do so and where you told me to go
I will be strong for the end of the journey"
Through the blinding snows and howling winds
He heard the newcomer's laughter on the breeze
And he began to pull himself to safety
Safe in the knowledge that She protected him
That she was watching over him for tonight
And all other nights as well.
