As usual the Hills Hotel's coffee house is full with hotel guest enjoying their breakfast which is what Neil Pong would do every morning for the past 4 months. Little does Neil know, today will be a day that will change his life ...
Neal Pong, originally from Bangkok, Thailand working at the Hills Hotel 5 as a singer in a band in the hotel's lounge The Zen. Life as a singer, all he does in his everyday life is get up in the morning, have his breakfast, practice the piano to better his skills, maybe take a walk outside the hotel with the camera or just simply stay in the hotel room to read or just meditate. Neil is very much into meditating and learning about Buddhism sometimes he even teach former students how to be calm and read their own mind. Neil always had a thought that he would like to be a monk in the future, that's how he sees his future. But all these will be changed after today.
On this sunny morning while Neil got up early from bed got ready and head to the hotel's coffee house for his breakfast. As he was picking out his breakfast at the buffet table, suddenly something caught his eye which made him look up. There she was a girl, tall maybe about his height, long black hair with same length fringe, beautiful eyes, oval shape face feature, beautiful face, almost flawless and she look like a Japanese animation princess. She was standing right across him on the other side of the buffet table. Mesmerized with her looks, he just stood frozen for a few seconds looking at her and his eyes just automatically followed her trail while she was walking away back to her table where she sits with her friends. During the whole breakfast he could not keep himself from looking at her, studying her every movements that she made, the way she walks, talk, eat, laugh just basically everything she does. He just kept his eyes on her till she finishes her breakfast and walk out by the side door of the hotel and out of his sight. At that Neil unconsciously let out a sigh of disappointment because he might not get to see her again and in between the thought that is running in his mind, he was hoping she did not noticed him looking at her like a hawk.
Outside the hotel, while Charmaine and Tara was walking along the riverside, suddenly Tara turned to Charmaine " Hey did you notice, there's a guy kept looking at you during breakfast, I mean he was really looking at you , I think he is interested in you." " Nope I was not looking around, are you sure he was looking at me or at you or maybe someone sitting close to our table." " I am absolutely sure he was looking at you, he was watching you like a hawk. He kinda look familiar not sure where I had seen him before." "Yeah yeah everyone look familiar to you." Charmaine said that in a slight sarcastic tone cause Tara she is tired of Tara always said people look familiar to her, she know that person, this person, always thinks she know a lot of people and all.
After Neil finally finishes his breakfast, he decided to walk around the hotel lobby and maybe shoot some photos on anything interesting just to improve his photography with his newly invested toy, a Canon EOS 400D camera before he head off to The Zen to practice piano. Neil would usually go to The Zen and spend two to three hours with the piano cause he can think clearly when he is with the piano and its very peaceful for him .While he was shooting the photographs of a little girl, a daughter of one of the hotel's guest, suddenly he felt a power was pulling his head to turn to his right side and there she was standing among a group of people, he saw her again and he never ever thought he will get to see her again let alone it's only been two hours since breakfast. She is with a group of people at the hotel lobby and it turns out she is here for an event for this Sunday, and again he unconsciously did what he did during breakfast, he can't get his eyes off her but he quickly look away when one of her friend turn to look at him. "Oh no I think her friend notice me, this is bad!" he thought silently in his mind. With that Neil decided that it's time to go to The Zen and practice his piano to calm himself down from all these scene before he go bonkers as he already can't stop thinking of her. As he was walking towards, he had to walk pass the girls, and one of them smiled at him and he smiled back at her politely and he walked into The Zen. When he sat on the piano and before he start to play he spend five minutes meditating just to recollect all this thoughts so he could be in a calm and peaceful state and then he start to put his fingers on the piano keys and play. Not like any other days, he felt times goes by faster than usual and before he knows it's already time to get ready for work at The Zen.
