Long Awaited Moment (Poem)

Private Pen
Dark eyes pierce right through me,

Your fingers graze my skin,

Tingling lips quiver,

Wanting, secretly within.

My breath is shallow

Upon the midnight air,

Blue eyes cast downwards,

Avoiding your loving stare.

This moment has been wanted

And waited for so long.

My heart is melting before you,

It was strong when you were gone.

My hands linger upwards

To gently touch your face,

My body waiting silently

For long awaited embrace.

For moment I don't care

What's right and what is wrong.

All I want is before me,

And I have waited far too long.

Has it really been that long?

Since you and I were one?

Let's put the time behind us,

Let all of that be done.

Your smile is quickly spreading,

Your head is leaning in..

That kiss that I have dreamt about

Is just about to begin.

Praying I don't wake up,

Hoping this is not a dream

For this moment is so perfect

Much more than it could seem.

This time is stolen for us

And soon I know it will end,

But at least we have this moment

To know what could have been.
