Long Lasting Cosmetics

In today's fast paced world, women are always looking for a product that will last them through the work day without having to do many touch ups. I tried three products marketed to last all day and found they didn't even last through half.

L'Oreal Paris offers a lipstick called "Endless Liquid" comfortable 8 hour lip color. Eight hours wasn't the case with this product. It comes in a clear 0.20 fl oz small glass bottle with a silver cap. It has a soft applicator tip with a white wand. You simply apply the product to your lips and wait a few moments for the item to dry before touching your lips. The feel of the lipstick feels like velvet when first applying. There's no awful taste to it. I did just this and after took a sip of water from a glass only to see my lip imprints of the glass. The lip color still look okay but I was hoping it wouldn't come off as quickly as it did. During the day it started to look flaky and worn down. One area of my lips looked more faded then the other part. Applying more only seemed to appear more cakey.

Cover Girl has a all day lip color called "Outlast". The product comes in a fancy silver and blue shinny box that has a separator for the two products inside. One item is a 0.07 fl oz liquid lip color while the other item is a moisturizing shiny .06 oz top coat. You take the lip color applicator and apply a thin layer of colors to your lips. You aren't suppose to blot or touch your lips together after applying the product because this may prevent it from drying properly. After a minute or so, you can apply the top coat to moisturize your lips and give a shiny appearance.

When the lip color goes on at first, it does feel a little dry and stiff. I would suggest using the topcoat to give your lips a soft feel. During the day this color did stay on my lips and it didn't look too faded or flaky. But as I did have a drink from a glass, the lip color came off more easily because of the top coat. When I tried the product without it, the product seemed to stay on a bit better. Oddly enough Cover Girl's product lasted longer then L'Oreal Paris and providing top coat in the package is an added bonus.

Maybelline has a product called "Eye Express Easy Lining Pen". This liquid eye lining product is contact lens safe, hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive eyes. The product looks fancy with it's quill pen style design. The bottom of the product is a gold color while the applicator tip if in a rich navy blue color. When applying this product, it smudged easily as I was trying to fix an area. It claims it stays on all day without smudging or smearing but it easily slid off the eyelid. The velvet black color easily faded into a charcoal gray as it dried. When it come to washing, the product thankfully had no problem washing off. But I did find it getting stuck into the crevices of my eyes. Overall I wouldn't suggest this product by Maybelline.
