The Queen reigns, as Kim Yu-Na of South Korea won the gold medal in Women's Figure Skating on Thursday night.

"I feel now as if a huge burden has been lifted," Yu-Na told the Associated Press.

11 jumps, all close to perfection have caused her the landslide victory over her opponents.

"Queen Yu-Na" as how she's already addressed in her country, was faced with tremendous pressure to bring home the bacon, the first gold medal in Figure Skating at the Winter Olympics. She even wrote a book about it, saying that she can't fail her countrymen.

"I still cannot believe I did what I wanted to do at the Olympics. I have been dreaming about this moment and I cannot believe it is not a dream anymore," the young lady champ said.

Despite her success at the age of 19, Yu-Na who reportedly makes $8M in a year, did not only grab the gold medal, but, also won the heart of many in Vancouver, with her humility and sweetness.

She was already leading more than 6 points over Japanese rival Mao Asada (who won silver) in the short program, but, nailed her lead at the final skate.

The Bronze went to Joannie Rochette, who also did magnificent performance despite facing the loss of her mother, Therese Rochette, who died of heart attack at 55, a few hours after arriving at Vancouver to watch her daughter's Olympics crowning moment.
