Long Shot Kentucky Derby Picks 2008

This year's 3 year olds have spent the year beating one another, suggesting that that there is no single stand out or dominant horse. Oh yes there were a few undefeated horses that were cruising along as the early Derby favorites but they have lost, convincingly. War Pass, the Breeders Cup 2 year old champion, finished last in the Tampa Bay Derby before finishing second in his most recent race. Denis of Cork, another undefeated horse, was embarrassed in the Illinois Derby- finishing well beaten. To make matters worse a lightly raced, non stakes winning colt by the name of Big Brown won the Florida Derby, an important prep race for the Kentucky Derby. Finally, the last main contender standing, Pyro, finished a puzzling 8th in the Blue Grass Stakes.

With all of these top horse beating and then losing to each other I have decided to put my confidence in a horse that will have long odds, is bred to go a distance of ground. My long shot Kentucky Derby picks are:

1. Yankee Bravo, he is sired by Yankee Gentleman who won at long distances.
2. Court Vision, another horse who lost his last race and is well bred.
3. Bob Black Jack, another last race loser who might run on the lead.

I will put a couple dollars on all three of these horses in the 2008 Kentucky Derby, good luck with your choices.
