Longer Lashes with Tweezerman Fast Lash

Julie James
Even those of us with decently-long lashes like a boost now and then. Those of us with very short lashes simply wish our lashes could be seen. A few months ago, Tweezerman released a product that can help all of us achieve the look of longer lashes: Tweezerman Fast Lash.

Packaged in a silver tube with black lettering, this product closely resembles a tube of mascara, but is a bit shorter. Should you accidentally remove this from your makeup case while reaching for mascara, you'll also notice this tube to be quite a bit lighter than your average tube of mascara.

There is only one ingredient to this product: lash lengthening polyester fibers. As such, this product is not recommended for those with sensitive eyes, nor is it recommended for extended-wear contact lens wearers.

To use, you'll need to ready your tube of mascara, as well as your tube of Tweezerman Fast Lash. Regarding mascara...from personal experience, I highly recommend using a mascara that not only doesn't clump, but one that also has rubber bristles.

Curl lashes. Apply one thin coat of mascara to top lashes on one eye only. Before the mascara has a chance to dry, very slowly remove wand from Tweezerman Fast Lash. On the end of the wand, you'll see a brush with what appear to be very small tufts of cotton. Very lightly touch the wand to the tips of lashes only. Do not coat the lashes with the fibers! Now apply another coat of mascara, concentrating on follow-through by wiggling the mascara wand all the way up and above the lashes. You should now see a positive difference in the length of your lashes. Repeat process to achieve more length. I wouldn't recommend repeating the process more than 3 or 4 times total, or you're going to wind up with a clumpy mess. (If you experience clumping, you might want to try having an eyelash comb on hand.)

Repeat process on the top lashes of your other eye. I haven't had very much luck using this product on my bottom lashes, but mine are already pretty long. If you have very short bottom lashes, I'd recommend giving this product a try on those lashes as well.

I cannot emphasize enough that in order to be successful with this lash-lengthening product, you need to be certain to simply *touch* the fibers to the tips of the lashes. Placing the fibers over more of the lashes will not result in nice-looking thick, long, lashes. Again, I'd like to state that I've had the best luck using a mascara that isn't super-thick or clumpy, and I've had the most success using a mascara with rubber bristles.

I've been wearing mascara for many years, and yet I still had to practice with this product until I was able to get it just right. A couple or three tries was all I needed, but I did them at night when I could wash everything off of my eyes and try again rather than trying it in the morning before I needed to go somewhere.

If you'd like the appearance of longer lashes, I recommend Tweezerman Fast Lash.

    Hi, Candice!

I recommended using a rubber brush mascara with it because I, personally, can't get this to work as well with the kind of wands that are more "fluffy." No matter how hard I try, I wind up with globs! That's certainly not to say you can't do it, though! Maybe my skills need work. :) Good luck with this...I just used it yesterday, and my lashes were really long! Thanks so very much for the comment, and the compliment! :)

Thanks for a great review, I'll be trying this product to see if it can add some length to my flimsy short blonde lashes. Why did you recommend using a rubber brush mascara with it? Do the other types not work with the fibers? Just curious. Again, thanks for a well done review :)
