With over fifty years of marriage under their belt, Kirk and Anne Douglas have one of the longest celebrity marriages. Kirk Douglas's first marriage to Diana Dill, the mother of his first two sons (including actor Michael Douglas) lasted just eight years. Douglas met German born Anne Buydens in 1953 while filming "Act of Love" the couple was married in Las Vegas, May 29, 1954.

Considering how many divorces I know among friends and family, long time celebrity marriages may not be that different from others. I agree with Michele, George Burns was something else. He said once you've had Gracie, no one else will do.
One of the marriages that I always admired (probably before your time!) was George Burns and his wife, Gracie. George outlived her, but admitted once that he talked to her every night, before he slept and every morning before he got out of bed. A real love story :) that survived Hollywood. Cheers :)
