Long's Park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is a hub of activity through the summer season. It's home to the "world's largest chicken bbq", a widely known arts & crafts festival, huge fourth of July fireworks display with cannons, and also to amazing free live music. The Long's Park Summer Music Series runs each year from June through the end of August and features many award winning artists.

In 2010 so far, such bands as Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The Felice Brothers, and Angelique Kidjo have been some of the major highlights to the free music series. For many years, locals have enjoyed gather at 7 p.m. on Sunday nights to listen to the live music.

There are food vendors available, as well as tables set up to purchase the artist's music as well as t-shirts and novelties. Fans may even meet the band or artist after the concert to get an autograph. The stage is open and low to the ground, so anyone is welcome to come right up to the front, dance, and enjoy an up close and personal encounter with all the musical acts.

Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, pets, family, and even food for a bbq to enjoy while listening to the music. Ample parking is available on one of the rear lawns of the Park, as well as in the adjacent Park City Mall parking lot, and Toys R Us parking lot.

Local and national businesses sponsor the events, and the Sertoma Club holds its' annual chicken bbq to raise funds to maintain the park's free events, all of which are open to the public near and far. Long's Park is located at 1441 Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster.
