Look Your Best at the Beach in Your Slimming Swimwear

Janice Meyer
This is the time of year when we begin thinking about buying a new swimsuit. We also begin to wonder how we will look in our new swimwear. There are so many styles to choose from, such as one-piece, two piece, swimdresses, tankines, skirtinis, extremely short legged bottoms and longer legged bottoms. There are also cover-ups to wear over your swimsuit when you relax on the beach. Some of the websites for a good selection of swimwear are listed below:

J. C. Penney - has both one- and two-piece swimwear. They have boy legs that are okay unless you are petite, as they tend to make you look shorter. There is a mid-thigh leg length that would work better for a petite woman. It would also make your legs look longer. Some of Penney's suits also have a tummy-control panel, as do most of the other merchants' similar styles. There is a one-piece swimsuit that has shirring down the front which minimizes the waist, and has maximum coverage in all over print or solid colors. Penney probably offers the lowest prices on their swimwear, some ranging from the teens and up to around fifty dollars.

Chadwicks - have a great selection of swimwear. They have a two-piece with a tankini halter top which covers part of the tummy, so you can wear an almost regular low-cut bakini bottom. Just because you are a little plump does not mean you cannot be up-to-date.

Chadwicks has a full line of skirtinis, tankinis, slimming suits and accessories. Their accessories include out-of-the-water cover-ups, three-piece cotton (pants, top and straw hat to match) and a printed caftan.

A short note: This is an anniversary year.

Women's Clothing Closet - has a brief-and-skirt bottom to be worn with a longer tankini. They also have swimwear where you figure the size you need by your brazier cup size. Another item is a swimdress that comes in prints and solids. Some of the swimdresses have a flared skirt with a bakini bottom or a mid-thigh skirt with a bakini.

Metro Style - have longer halter tops that cover the waist, and a skirt a little longer than a boy leg with a bikini bottom beneath. You can view their catalogue online.

Because, Shopping Your Way - has a Shape and Bandeau swimdress in many sizes and colors. It really looks lovely and in good taste. There are several different styles of swimsuits and swimdresses.

I also believe that solid colors are more slimming than prints. You might also consider emphasizing your bust line instead of your waist. This will take the attention away from your tummy and legs. A swimsuit with a printed top and a solid-color bottom would also work well here.

Since I am not as young as I once was, I prefer a one-piece swimsuit with a mid-thigh leg length. I do not have a weight problem, just the problems of getting older. I might also opt for a swimdress, as they seem much more elegant.
