Buying gross, spooky, scary or just plain disgusting Halloween candy has become a tradition in this house. I came across the Goo Headz Candy Tubes a couple years ago and bought several of them to have for the boys knowing that when they killed off the candy the rubber ooze filled head would make a nice decoration.
The appeal to Goo Headz is that the ooze doesn't cause a mess; it is contained by a thin membrane so it looking like it is leeching out of the holes but once you stop squeezing it retracts. There are a couple different characters to choose from; the pumpkin is orange and has green ooze, the skull is off white and has red ooze and the green monster (who looks curiously like Frankenstein) is green and black and oozes red.
It doesn't take much hand power to squeeze the head to get the ooze to come out; it retracts quickly and can be used over and over. This is not a dog toy and is not something that kids under the age of five should be allowed to play with unsupervised.
Goo Headz are an Alberts Candy creation; they are a seasonal item that is a popular pick at Halloween because of the pieces of candy in the plastic stem and the appeal of having a gross toy to play with long after the candy bits are gone. The suggested selling price is about three dollars but generally most stores will price them at 2 / $5.00.
