Bring in some of your makeup or let them use what they recommend. You may like the new products so much that you buy a few. The second worst thing that could happen is that your makeup is to outrageous for the Prom or you just do not like it.

Remember, while you are going through these consultations get names of recommended stylist or makeup artist that they can refer you to if they can not do what you are looking for. Most stylist are aware of who is great at specific services and this could save you time and money. Secondly, speak up, if you do not like what is being done to your hair or makeup, but be polite about it also. Just because it is Prom night does not mean that you should be a diva.

Also, the next best thing you can do is leave a decent tip for the stylist and makeup artist. These professionals are doing their best to make sure that you look good and unique. You may look so great that many other girls will be asking where did you go, so be nice and drop the stylists' names.
